Murray Street Youth Urban Art Project
The Youth Urban Art Project provided opportunities for increased connection and participation by young people to beautify local recreational spaces. Five murals were designed throughout the Project, which was co-funded by the Cairns Regional Council and the Federal Government's Building Better Regions Fund.

Designed by local artist Daniel (Wally) Wallwork and delivered in conjunction with Local Youth, the Manoora Youth Urban Art Project is twofold. The Manoora Community Hall in Murray Street reflects true community spirit with the words Grow, Connect, Care, Respect and Support incorporated into the mural which also includes 100 painted hands joining the words together - symbolising community and unity. A second mural with a focus on tropical flora is featured in Murray Park across the street.
