Gordonvale Railway Station
Places of Significance - Cairns Regional Council

The Railway Station is significant in demonstrating the development of the railways in North Queensland and, in particular, its relationship with the sugar industry. The site of the rail station was determined years previous by the development of the Cairns Mulgrave Tramway which assisted the establishment of the mill by bringing cane to the mill and delivering its raw sugar product to the Cairns wharves.
