Coastwatchers Park Youth Urban Art Project
The Youth Urban Art Project provided opportunities for increased connection and participation by young people to beautify local recreational spaces. Five murals were designed throughout the Project, which was co-funded by the Cairns Regional Council and the Federal Government's Building Better Regions Fund.

Designed by local artist, Daniel (Wally) Wallwork, the Coastwatchers murals were inspired by the flora and fauna of the Northern Beaches of Cairns. The bright murals throughout this extensive facility feature the local curlew and hibiscus flowers blended in with a touch of the popular Minecraft game.
