Babinda Library offers a range of services including: access to two computers via a booking management system, photocopying, Council fee payments such as dog registrations (excludes rates), history of Babinda touchscreen display and free Wi-Fi. Opening hours are Mon-Fri 9am-12:30pm & 1:30pm-5pm and Sat 9am-12noon.

History: Babinda Library opened its doors to the public in 1955. It is the southern-most of Cairns Libraries' branches and is located in a heritage listed building on Munro Street.

In March 2000, the Babinda Library building was listed in the "Cultural Heritage Study Town of Babinda" document. Many changes to the library have occurred over the years including upgrades to the building, grounds, fittings and the recent installation of solar panels. The latest edition is an easy access ramp at the front of the building the construction of which, began on 16 January 2012 and was completed on 9 March 2012. The official opening took place on Tuesday 24 April 2012.
